Build a team from the card roster

东方幻灵录 ~ Touhou Hakanai Cards is an autochess-style card game where the characters come from the Oriental project. Each card has its own style and role, so you pick the ones you like and assemble a lineup around them. Battles play out automatically once you've set your team, which keeps the moment-to-moment play relaxed while leaving the real decisions to you: which cards to field, which to hold, and how to combine them into a lineup that works as a whole. The card art is a big part of the appeal, with illustrated character cards carrying the fights.

Refresh decks and shape your strategy

Every round the available decks refresh with different cards, and the quality of the hero cards you draw varies. That randomness is the core of the game. When things are going badly, spending to refresh for the cards you need can turn a losing position around, and when things are going well you can hold back instead. The game leans into this as a TCG-style strategy layer: you plan your resources carefully and commit to a direction as the options change round to round.

Run your economy

The money you have is the main lever you pull. Saving earns you interest, spending gives you stronger cards now, and working out which choice maximizes your income is where the strategy sits. Two players looking at the same situation will often spend differently and end up with completely different lineups and playstyles. There is no single correct routine, so the fun comes from finding the one that fits how you think.

Playing with friends and getting started

On PC the game supports online battles for 2 to 4 people, covering both cooperative and competitive play. If you've never touched an auto battler before, the rules are simple enough to pick up quickly, and an AI algorithm compensates for operational mistakes so new players aren't punished for misplays. Expect a casual pace with a competitive edge: easy to follow, but with enough economic and lineup decisions to keep a group arguing over who played it better.
