A fast RTS with two ways to play
The Scouring is a real-time strategy game where you build bases, gather resources, and lead armies into battle. You can pick humans or orcs and play in Classic Mode, where you manage everything yourself, or switch to a Hero-focused mode. In that mode you control one powerful character directly, gaining experience, collecting items, and customizing your build with gear and abilities. While you fight, AI handles your army, resources, and bases, so the pace stays quick and the focus stays on the fight. Battles include magic, cannons, spells, and dynamic destruction, and you can enter dungeons to hunt for items.
Playing together with friends
The Scouring supports online co-op and online PvP. Multiplayer matches include team skirmishes and free-for-alls for up to 8 players, with options to customize the match settings. You can forge alliances or go solo against everyone else. The game also includes ranked matches, team battles, and custom games. At night you defend against waves of undead, so coordinating with your group matters. Whether you are building defenses together or splitting up to take different objectives, the RTS layer keeps everyone busy.
Before you start
This is an Early Access title, so expect things to change as development continues. The developers describe the project as community-driven, shaped by player feedback. If you like making your own content, Steam Workshop integration lets you download and share custom maps, modes, and AI scripts. You can also write AI scripts to automate strategies and watch them play out in real time. The game blends old-school RTS structure with action RPG combat, so if you are used to one or the other, be ready for both.
