Running an old station in a world gone electric
You take over an old gas station and the small store beside it out in the wilderness. The previous owner vanished under strange circumstances, and keeping the place in order is now your job. The work is hands-on: clear out trash, organize the space, stock shelves and fridges with snacks, drinks, road trip items and car supplies, set your own prices, work the cash register and keep an eye on fuel levels. Money you earn goes back into the business — new shelves, fridges and equipment, a bigger building, a wider product range and a layout that moves customers through faster.
Beyond the store, you can modernize the station itself. Swap out old equipment, install a tire pumping machine, set up an area for oil changes and maintenance, arrange gasoline supplies and customize the neon sign so the place gets noticed at night. The goal is to turn a ruin into a stop that travelers actually want to use.
Playing it together in co-op
The Last Gas Station has two-player online co-op. You and a friend pick work outfits and run the station side by side, splitting the jobs between you — one can handle the checkout while the other stocks shelves, orders goods or keeps the fuel topped up. Keeping customers served on time matters, since happy ones spread the word that the old station is back in business.
When night comes, the two of you can head out and explore the area together. That is where the mystery sits: the previous owner walked out one night and nobody has seen him since, and the local advice is not to go out after dark. Digging into what happened is something you can do as a pair.
What to know before starting
This is a compact, side-scrolling 2D pixel-art management game with a cozy, colorful look, but it carries an atmospheric mystery underneath the routine of retail and fuel. Your choices lead to multiple endings, so how far you push the business and how much you investigate shapes where the story lands. The developers are still patching and updating the game, so expect it to keep changing over time.
