What The House Always Wins is
The House Always Wins is a first-person casual simulation about running a casino from nothing. You build the floor, place slot machines, and keep them working while guests come in and spend. The store text calls it a party game and a job simulator with dark humor, so expect the day-to-day work of a shop keeper to go sideways in funny ways. Money is the point: grow your fortune and prove the house always wins.
Playing it with your group
You can run the whole place solo or jump into online co-op with up to six players. In co-op you assign roles and divide tasks, so one person can be fixing equipment while another sets up the bar or keeps an eye on the floor. Everyone works toward the same profit, which makes the split of jobs the main thing to sort out when you start a session.
Keeping the guests happy and the machines alive
Slots alone will not carry the business. Install bars, serve snacks, and add entertainment to keep guests in their seats, and customize the details so they spend everything before heading out. Equipment does not look after itself: slot machines smoke and break, parts get busted, and you grab a wrench to fix them and keep the reels turning.
What to expect when things go wrong
Every day brings a new problem. Expressive graffiti artists tag your walls, a crazy goose shows up, careless smokers cause trouble, vandals start fires, and guests from outer space arrive uninvited. Fancy VIPs walk in alongside all of that. The show goes on regardless, so expect to solve chaotic events while the business keeps running around you.
