Coaching a Roster of Players
Tennis Elbow Manager 2 puts you in the role of a tennis coach managing up to 9 players. Your work covers training sessions, planning, sponsors, and team members, with the goal of reaching the number one ranking in the world, staying there, and winning Grand Slam titles. The World Tour spans men's and women's tours with 3500 players evolving over 70 years, from 1973 for men and 1983 for women through to 2042, across more than 400 tournaments plus the World Team Cup and the Masters Cup. Singles and doubles are covered, along with Junior and Pro Tours, and a full ranking system similar to the ATP entry ranking. Five coaching difficulty levels let you set how demanding the management side feels.
Playing Matches and Sharing the Court
The game includes a full 3D match engine based on the Tennis Elbow 2013 engine, with new and improved physics for the ball, court, strikes, and players, plus improved AI with new player strategies and more realistic behaviors. You can play tennis in the Training Club, and optionally take control of your player during tournament 3D matches, though doing so makes the management side a bit unbalanced since some skills matter less when you play everything yourself. For matches you can choose between a 3D match with real-time coaching, a textual match, or an instant result. Nine court surfaces each have a specific rebound, and there are six difficulty levels split into 10 sublevels each, seven camera modes, and set lengths of 1 to 6 games in best of 1, 3, or 5 sets.
Playing Together
In the Training Club you can play up to 4-human-player matches, with split screen available. In the World Tour there is only one coach, but different human players can control different coached players when they play their 3D match. Remote Play Together is supported, and the game is modding friendly. The 3D male and female players are fully customizable.
