Weapons-based fighting with new mechanics

SOULCALIBUR VI is a 3D fighting game where every character comes to the fight with a weapon. The series returns with new battle mechanics: Reversal Edge lets you block an incoming assault and counterattack in one move, blending offense and defense. Soul Charge gives a temporary power-up that unlocks extra attacks and can turn a losing round around. Lethal Hits deal large combo damage when you land them on a tough opponent. The result is a fighter that rewards timing and reads as much as raw execution.

Playing together

Online mode lets you clash with players around the world, so a group can match up against each other or team up to take on outside opponents. Remote Play Together is supported, which means one person can host and others can join in from their own setups. The game also carries local multiplayer, so you can share a screen and pass the controller around for quick sets. Between rounds there is Creation mode, where each player builds their own character to suit their taste, giving the group something to compare and show off.

Story, modes, and what to expect

Soul Chronicle mode revisits the events of the very first SOULCALIBUR, set in the 16th century, so there is a single-player story to work through alongside the fighting. The roster includes Geralt from CD Projekt Red's Witcher series as a guest character. The game carries a Mature content note, and the store tags include Sexual Content and Nudity, so keep that in mind before playing in mixed company. Expect a competitive, arcade-style fighter with a strong soundtrack and a fantasy setting built around swordplay.
