What Shotgun Shenanigans is
Shotgun Shenanigans is a multiplayer FPS sports game that puts soccer and first-person shooting in the same match. Everyone carries a shotgun, and it does double duty: you use it to move yourself around the arena and to knock the ball toward the net. The physics of the gun and the ball are the core of the whole thing, so a lot of your play is about finding angles that send the ball where you want it while keeping yourself mobile. It's a team-based game, so positioning and passing matter as much as raw shots.
Playing with your group
You can jump into a public match with strangers, or set up a private match where only your friends take part. Private matches are the straightforward way to run a session with your Discord group — pick a gamemode, get everyone in, and start. There are four gamemodes to rotate through: Soccer, Hoops, Knockout, and Volleyball. Soccer is the main goal-scoring mode, while the others give you different ways to use the same shotgun movement and physics, so a group that gets bored of one mode can switch without learning an entirely new game. Because every mode shares the same basic tools, the transfer is quick.
Before you start
Expect a movement-heavy shooter that happens to have a ball in it. The shotgun is not only a weapon — it's your main tool for repositioning and for powering the ball, so time spent learning how the recoil pushes you around pays off faster than practicing aim alone. As a team-based PvP game, matches depend on other players showing up, so private sessions work best when you bring enough people to fill the teams. The game is free to play, and the developers point to their official Discord channel as the place to keep up with the game and find other players.
