What RIDE 5 is
RIDE 5 is a motorcycle racing game built around realism, with physics tuned so that riding feels close to a real bike. You get over 35 tracks and more than 200 motorcycles from world-renowned manufacturers to collect and ride. Career mode starts you in your garage and asks you to climb the ranks against increasingly skilled Rivals, picking your own challenges along the way: harder challenges pay off with greater rewards. Endurance mode is a different pace, where strategy matters as much as speed. You watch fuel and pit-stops, and you can save, exit and come back later without losing your run.
Racing together
Split screen is back, so two of you can race on the same screen against each other live. Online PvP is available if your group is spread across different setups. Either way you pick your bikes and tracks and race, and Endurance races are the mode that really tests you against other riders.
Setting up your own races
Race Creator lets you build events from scratch, from a single race up to a full championship. You choose the bikes and the tracks, then act as Race Director and set the rules yourself. On top of that there is Character Customization, and you can collect bikes in your garage, customize their looks, and share those designs with other players.
Before you start
The weather changes during a race: clear skies can turn into heavy downpours and back to sunshine while you ride, and the wet and dry conditions change how the bike behaves. If you are new to motorcycle racing, riding aids can be turned on and adjusted to give you support where you need it, which helps with choosing lines and knowing when to brake. A controller is supported, and there is a tutorial to ease you in. Difficulty rises through Career as the Rivals get better, so expect a learning curve before you are winning consistently.
