A turn-based Second World War wargame
Panzer Corps 2 is a hex-based strategy game set in the European theatre of the Second World War. Battles play out turn by turn, so there is no pressure to click fast: the quality of your decisions decides the outcome. The rules cover unit movement, combat, spotting, encirclements, weather, and capturing enemy equipment. You command from a pool of over 1000 unique units, each modelled and animated, spanning authentic World War II vehicles. The game runs in 3D.
Playing with your group
Panzer Corps 2 supports online play against other players and online co-op against the AI. In true online multiplayer you can take your turns simultaneously with a co-op partner, which cuts waiting time down to zero. Other multiplayer options include hot seat and server-assisted play-by-email (PBEM++). Ten scenarios are built specifically for a balanced multiplayer match, and Skirmish mode uses an advanced random map generator with six map types and four mission types.
Before you start
The main campaign is a branching path of around 60 scenarios where you lead the Wehrmacht through the whole of World War II, carrying veterans from one battle to the next. Four additional single player scenarios sit alongside it. The Axis Operations DLCs form one huge linked campaign from the German perspective, with your army carried over between DLCs. A Scenario Editor lets you build your own campaigns, single scenarios, and multiplayer maps, or play content made by other players.
