What Out of the Park Baseball 26 is

Out of the Park Baseball 26 is a baseball management simulation where you take charge of a franchise. You handle the parts a real front office and manager handle: scouting and drafting talent, negotiating with free agents, working trade talks with other teams, setting lineups and pitching staffs, deciding in-game strategy, and calling shots from the dugout. You can run things from a high level, overseeing the league, or step into the 3D game mode and manage play by play, even pitch by pitch. The game is officially licensed by MLB, the MLB Players Inc. and KBO, and it includes the complete minor leagues, the KBO in Korea, and licensed leagues from the UK and the Netherlands. 2025 MLB rosters are included and updated through the season, with every franchise covered from the big league club down through the minors.

Playing together with your group

Online PvP is a Steam feature of this game, and Perfect Team returns as the way to compete online against friends and the wider player base. Perfect Team 26 adds a Clubhouse Rewards Shop, league promotion systems with league play incentives, more control over your team, and new licensed legendary players. Beyond that, much of the game is built around running your own franchise over a long timeline, so a group can compare how their own rebuilds, drafts, and trades are going. The Drive for the Pennant mode is a streamlined single-player challenge that drops you into specific moments, such as the last inning of a no-hitter or a key late pitching decision, which gives you concrete situations to talk through with friends.

What to know before starting

The scope is large. You are managing rosters across a whole organization, so expect to spend time on scouting reports, the draft, minor league assignments, and player development rather than only on game day. The Player Development Lab 2.0 lets you track prospects with progress bars and midterm reports, and you can pull a player out of a program if it is not working. The expanded MLB Draft adds a draft combine, a Draft Pipeline with expert opinions on the class, and a Draft Central screen. The scouting model has been overhauled, the historical ratings engine improved, and AI updated for player evaluation and minor league management, so expect more detail in reports than in earlier entries. The Road to the World Baseball Classic is a single-player feature starting with the qualifiers. The game also carries a Military Service system reflecting real KBO club decision making, and Hall of Fame players, artifacts, and experiences appear across the experience.
