Shooting through a neon tower
Neon Chrome is a top-down twin-stick shooter set in a cyberpunk building. You pick one of three randomized assets before each run, and each asset is a mix of class, weapon and ability, such as a sneaky assassin with mines or a corp soldier with incendiary grenades. The levels are procedurally generated, so every death hands you a completely new path that always ends in a final showdown against the Overseer. Along the way you face security guards, assault drones, cyborgs, boss hover tanks and other military robots.
Playing together in shared screen
The game supports 2-4 players in shared screen local co-op, and Steam offers Remote Play Together. Everyone brings their own skills, weapons and cybernetic abilities into the same building, and the destructible environment means you can shoot through walls, make rooms explode and obliterate whole floors as a group.
Building your character across runs
Looted credits go into permanent stat improvements like health, luck and damage, and these carry over to every asset you pick. During a run you also improve with guns and cybernetics. Upgrade stations offer over a dozen weapons and more than four dozen enhancements, ranging from health and protection to defense and assault systems. Between runs you can experiment with the level editor and mods.
