Build your own ridiculous guns
MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE is a VR first-person shooter where you assemble weapons piece by piece. You fight through the inside of a giant alien machine, take down its metal minions, and collect gun parts from what you kill. Those parts snap directly onto your weapon in VR, so you can pause mid-run, pick up a new barrel or upgrade, and slot it into place. The parts list runs from serious hardware like chainguns and railguns to absurd options like a pizza launcher that fires explosive pizzas. The goal is to keep stacking parts until your gun becomes something the enemy was not built to handle.
Survive the run
Runs are built around a simple loop: fight, die, come back stronger. Alien machines, explosive traps, metal pests, and bosses all work against you, and getting hit sends your progress back toward the start. Movement is a core part of staying alive. Room scale movement lets you physically dodge, limbo under attacks, and even punch through clouds of bullets with your hands. If you prefer something less active, the game ships with accessibility modes: seated mode for stationary play, and free movement mode where the controller handles dodging instead. More options live in the settings.
Playing together and what to run on
Online co-op is available, so you and your friends can team up and tackle the MOTHERGUNSHIP fleet as a group. Each player builds their own weapon, which means the party can split roles however it wants based on what parts each person has collected. The game supports Meta Quest 2, Valve Index, HTC Vive, and HP Reverb G2, so check that your headset is on that list before you plan a session.
