Build and defend your base
Monarchy is a 2D side-scrolling strategy game where you build a base, gather resources, explore a mysterious forest and conquer your enemies. You can place buildings anywhere you want with a dynamic building system, so your base layout is up to you. Your follower archer can hunt wild animals in the forest for food and help keep you safe. Trains of soldiers follow you around and fight automatically once trained, and spear traps can be placed to catch enemies that get past your main defenses.
Explore the forest and its caves
The forest holds numerous caves to explore, each hiding treasures, enemies and unexpected surprises. Each playthrough offers a different experience. In Bandit Land, bandits hide in caves and you must clear them out in a summer setting. The Siege puts you in an autumn setting where you build a trebuchet to break through enemy castle walls, and enemies only come from one direction. Winter Knight is a harsh winter with secrets to discover, and enemies attack randomly from one side each night. A cart lets you bring in coins or people to balance your run, and a monolith gives you unique upgrades each playthrough.
Play with friends
Monarchy supports cooperative play, so you can team up with friends and family to build your base and take on the forest together. Remote Play Together is available, letting people join in over a shared session.
