Run-and-gun through six missions
METAL SLUG X is a 2D side-scrolling shooter from SNK, built around precise pixel art and straightforward controls. Arcade Mode takes you through Missions 1 to 6, where you fight across the battlefield to stop General Morden's new coup attempt. Playing with your group
You can clear missions together through Online Co-op, connecting with friends over Steam no matter where they are. Remote Play Together is also supported, letting someone join in from a friend's session. For people in the same room, Local Co-op is available. Mission Mode lets you pick any stage you have already unlocked, so your group can jump straight into a favorite level or practice a tough section together instead of starting from Mission 1 each time.
Before you start
Arcade Mode runs the original campaign start to finish, while Mission Mode is the better pick for training or replaying specific stages. Leaderboards track your rank and score against other players if you want a reason to replay for a better run. Settings cover controls, language, video display, and sound volume, so everyone can adjust things before the mission begins. Note that the game will not run on Windows XP.
