What Kopanito All-Stars Soccer is
Kopanito All-Stars Soccer is a 2D arcade football game with fast matches and no referee on the pitch, so anything goes, including crazy super-powers. The look is playful, but the match engine is built to be well-balanced and entirely skill-based. There are no footballer stats to lean on: you are the stats. You learn the mechanics over time, sharpen your precision and reflexes, and the better player wins. Luck means little. Super-moves are skill-based too: the better you play, the more of them you earn during a match, and some super-moves can neutralize an opponent's super-move.
Playing together
Kopanito supports local co-op for up to 4 players on one screen, plus online PvP and Remote Play Together. You can play matches alone or in co-op, and fame points come from playing matches in any of those modes. Match challenges are extra objectives you can complete during a tournament match against the AI, such as not conceding a single goal, scoring by dribbling past the goal line with the ball, scoring with the teleport super-move, or cancelling a super-shot using the ball magnet. There are 31 different challenges in the game. Fame points feed into leaderboards organized into Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum leagues, and each league has its own fame threshold and limited capacity.
Before you start
The game is tagged as difficult, so expect a learning curve: precision and reflexes matter more than any shortcut. Four AI difficulty levels are available: beginner, amateur, professional and legend, with legend needing to be unlocked. A "How to play" guide is included in the game. There are 104 national teams, 7 stadiums, 7 tournaments at launch, and more competitions and teams added over the course of development, including Pacific League, Microstates Cup, Central American and Caribbean League, Pan Arab League, Commonwealth Cup, Pan American League, Mediterranean League, Continental League and World League, plus teams such as Angola, Bulgaria, India, Israel, Luxembourg, Morocco, Northern Ireland, Puerto Rico, Republic of Ireland and Thailand. The Trophies screen holds 224 achievements to work through.
