What Immortal Dao Idle is

Immortal Dao Idle is an online multiplayer RPG with idle and auto battler elements, set in a xianxia world. You cultivate, train and craft your way through it, and the game leans on choices mattering as you go. The goal the store text sets out is straightforward: work together with other players to defeat the Herald of the End Times and stop the world from being destroyed. Along the way you build up your character with the aim of becoming the Main Character of this new world. It carries tags for character customization, hex grid play and strategy RPG combat, so expect a mix of build decisions and tactical encounters rather than pure button pressing. The game is in Early Access, which means it is still being worked on and things can change as development continues.

How your group plays it together

The game supports Online Co-op, so you and the friends you usually group up with can jump in and play alongside each other rather than each grinding alone. Because it is a massively multiplayer game, your group shares the same world with other players, and the main shared objective is taking down the Herald of the End Times. Cultivating, training and crafting all feed into your character's growth, and since the game includes auto battler and idler mechanics, progress keeps moving even when you are not actively fighting. That makes it a decent pick for a group that wants something to check in on together between sessions, with everyone pushing toward the same world-level threat.

Things to know before starting

The developers state that there is zero pay-to-win and zero pay-to-progress: cosmetics and support packages only give flair or global bonuses, so nothing you buy puts you ahead of anyone else in a direct competitive sense. The game is tagged with PvP as well as co-op, so player-versus-player play exists alongside the cooperative push against the Herald. It is a 2D title with a fantasy, wuxia and xianxia flavor, and it includes artificial intelligence among its tags. Language support covers English, Simplified Chinese, Portuguese and German translations. Being in Early Access, expect rough edges and ongoing changes to systems as the game develops.
