What Holo's Hanafuda is

Holo's Hanafuda is a card game battler set in a strange land built from hanafuda imagery, fully voiced by hololive talent. The story follows Nakiri Ayame, Shirakami Fubuki, Ookami Mio, and Sakura Miko after they are drawn into this world and challenged by shadowy figures to a series of card battles. Along the way they meet friends and allies in an original hololive story. Hanafuda itself is a traditional Japanese card game: a deck of twelve suits, one for each month of the year, each card carrying a seasonal illustration. The game also introduces the Holo Awase rule variant, a koi-koi style mode where you match cards showing the same hololiver to unleash talent skills, played with a deck of hololive-designed hanafuda cards.

Playing together as a group

Online PvP lets you challenge players from across the globe. Pick your game, create a lobby or invite a friend, and play. Beyond matches, bento mode lets you collect points by playing games and spend them to unlock ingredients and decorations, then mix and match them into a custom bento box. Once your creation is done, you can exchange it with other players online. Between the card battles and the bento sharing, a group has plenty to trade back and forth over.

Before you start

On-screen markers and tips handle the rules for you, so you do not need to memorize card values or hanafuda scoring to get going. Single-player story mode teaches you how to play as it goes, easing you into the games before you take them online. The cast includes Nakiri Ayame, an Oni girl and student council president from the Underworld Academy; Shirakami Fubuki, a white-haired animal-eared otaku fox aiming to become a top otaku idol; Ookami Mio, a black-haired wolf girl who often shows up around shrines and likes gaming; and Sakura Miko, a self-proclaimed elite shrine maiden-idol from the Virtual Sakura Shrine.
