A Mini Golf Game With Wild Courses
Golf Around! is a multiplayer mini golf game built around crazy courses and odd mechanics. The ball does not always behave like a normal golf ball: katanas can slice it in half, dragons can set you on fire, and cannons can blast you into the air. The game runs in 3D with a cartoony look, and you can customize your character and your ball with Steam Items. There are 10 built-in courses covering 180 holes, including Village, Dungeon, Snowy, Lab, Vaporwave, Haven, Steampunk, Castle 1, Castle 2, and Cyberpunk.
Playing Together
You can play online with others or on your own, and a session supports 1 to 12 players. Beyond standard play, the game offers several modes and options to change how a round works, such as shape mode, race mode, and hardcore mode. Online PvP is available, so groups can compete directly against each other rather than only comparing scores.
Building Your Own Levels
A level creator lets you make your own courses, and it includes a terrain editor for shaping the ground. Community maps made by other players are available alongside the built-in courses, so there is a steady supply of layouts beyond the official 180 holes. This is the part of the game that keeps giving after you have worked through the stock content.
Before You Start
The game is tagged as family friendly and casual, but the mechanics are deliberately chaotic, so expect balls to go in directions you did not plan for. It carries a singleplayer tag alongside the multiplayer features, and Steam Achievements are in place for goals to chase. The developer notes that more is still to come, so the course list and feature set may grow over time.
