A samurai's war on Tsushima Island

Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT follows Jin Sakai, one of the last surviving members of his clan, in the late 13th century. The Mongol empire is sweeping through the East, and a massive invasion fleet led by General Khotun Khan has reached Tsushima Island, the last thing standing between the Mongols and mainland Japan. As the island burns after the first assault, Jin sets out to protect his people and reclaim his home. Doing that means leaving behind the traditions that shaped him as a warrior and taking up an unconventional war as the Ghost. The game is an open-world action adventure with combat, stealth, exploration and a story-rich journey across the island.

Playing together

This is primarily a singleplayer game, but it also includes Online Co-op and Online PvP, so your group can team up or face off after the main journey. The co-op and PvP modes let you play alongside or against your friends rather than only sharing impressions of Jin's story. Jump into the co-op side when you want to clear content together, or switch to PvP when the group wants to test blades against each other.

Before you start

The game carries Gore and Violent tags, so expect blood and brutal combat alongside the samurai and stealth gameplay. Ultrawide formats up to 48:9 triple monitor are supported. You can play with a wired DualSense controller for haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, or use mouse and keyboard with fully customizable controls. Japanese voiceover includes lip sync, rendered in real time by your PC.
