A First-Person Dungeon Crawl
FlyKnight Enhanced Edition is an old school first person dungeon crawler with action RPG combat. You play a squire of the order of the Flyknights, assembled to vanquish the witch Lunamoth and lift her curse, which is preventing the denizens of the realm from growing wings. Separated after an ambush, the squire arrives at the village of the swamp folk and pledges to see the mission through. The path forward is a hand crafted environment with many sidepaths filled with loot and dangerous encounters, and you survive from checkpoint to checkpoint against fierce bosses that want you dead.
Combat is tactical rather than button-mashing. You arm yourself with an arsenal of weapons and choose what fits the situation: chop off a foe's arm to prevent aggression, crush their head to deprive them of senses, or fight out of their range with long weapons or arrows. Between fights, you can customize your equipment to build a character that feels your own, and thorough exploration of the dungeon yields great rewards.
Playing Together
Online Co-op lets you summon a friend and progress through Lunamoth's lair together. Two to four players can play together, and progress is saved for everyone involved. In the thick of it you divide and conquer, trade items and make gestures. The group works through the same hand crafted environment, so the sidepaths and loot are shared ground rather than separate runs.
Before You Start
Checkpoints do double duty: they are where you survive to, and where you take a breather to pull out your fishing rod. Fill up your fish bag with nutritious creatures that give you buffs and advantages in combat if you use them wisely. The Enhanced Edition free update adds Hard Difficulty with redesigned areas, new enemies and redesigned bossfights, plus new item types such as Wands, Chitin Charms, Battletomes and new Healing Flasks. Optional modes let you adjust randomization through Reasonable and Chaos options, and a New Game+ system makes the game harder with each loop.
