Build your own wrestling world

Fire Pro Wrestling World is a simulation-focused wrestling game from Spike Chunsoft where you shape everything about a match. You create a wrestler from over a thousand moves and a wide selection of body parts, then set them loose in a ring you can personalize yourself, down to the mat logos and even the referee. The goal is simple: fight your way to the championship belt. A robust CPU logic system gives your creations defined personalities, so you decide how they behave in the ring — whether they play to the crowd or play dirty.

Play with your group

You can organize exhibition matches, tournaments, leagues, championship bouts, and battle royals with players from around the world through online play. Local multiplayer and Remote Play Together are also supported, so your group can share the action from one screen or join in from elsewhere. Beyond the standard match, the rules can be mixed up considerably: Deathmatch options include a steel cage, barbed wire, or landmines, there is no-holds-barred Gruesome Fighting, and SWA homebrew rules that blend pro wrestling with MMA. The singleplayer mode lets you keep wrestling on your own when the group is not around.

Before you start

Expect a 2D presentation with a retro feel rather than a modern 3D wrestling game. The depth here comes from customization and simulation — you are casting actors for the ringside drama and writing their behavior through CPU logic, so a lot of the fun is in setting up the scenario as much as in the match itself. Take time to learn the move set and personality options before jumping into a tournament, since your wrestler's defined actions drive how the bout plays out.
