A Finnish summer as Seppo

Finnish Cottage Simulator puts you in the shoes of Seppo, a middle-aged Finnish man, and hands you a summer in the countryside. The game is a casual simulation with an open world to explore, a first-person perspective, and plenty of dialogue with the people you meet. You can shape your character with character customization before you set out. Since it is in Early Access, the game is still being developed and things may change as it grows.

Two ways to spend the season

You can play it slow: sit back, grill food, drink beer, take a sauna and enjoy the quiet of the Finnish summer. Or you can push in another direction entirely — set up a moonshine operation, turn to burglary, or turbocharge your moped. Sailing, riding a motorbike, crafting and exploration are all part of the mix, so the pace and focus of a session are up to you.

Playing together with friends

Online Co-op is supported, so your group can share the same cottage summer rather than each running it alone. One person grills while another takes the boat out, or the whole crew commits to a moonshine empire or a moped upgrade spree. The sandbox design means everyone can pick their own task and meet up when it suits them. It works as a singleplayer game too, so you are free to start on your own and bring friends in later.

Before you start

Expect a realistic, grounded take on everyday life rather than a fast-moving challenge — it is tagged Relaxing and Casual, and the life sim and immersive sim elements mean a lot of the fun comes from small routines and choices. The dialogue-heavy writing is a big part of the experience, so give the conversations a read instead of skipping through them. As an Early Access title, expect rough edges and shifts in content while RANELA GAMES keeps working on it.
