Two ways to play every battle

Executive Assault mixes real-time strategy with first-person shooting in the same match. From above you act as the CEO: build base complexes, set up factories for robotic troops, research technology, gather resources like Thorium crystals and meteorite drops, and order your army around. Your facilities snap together into one complex that you can upgrade with turrets, doors and forcefields. Units range from nimble robots to heavy tanks, walkers, artillery, missiles, fighter jets and shielded hover cruisers.

At any moment you can drop into any of those units and fight on the ground yourself. You can also walk inside the buildings you constructed, hold corridors from a robot factory, or break into an enemy power station and sabotage the grid.

Playing together

Online co-op lets one player run the base in RTS mode while friends take over the robots in a pure FPS role. Online PvP puts you against other players, and the store notes that blowing up friends with cruise missiles is a highlight. Since you control doors, turrets, alarms and forcefields, teammates inside a base can coordinate defenses while the commander steers the army outside.

Before you start

The technology tree holds over 140 technologies, from lasers to Quantum Gateways, so expect a real investment in research before your strongest units come online. Counter what the enemy fields: heavy beam lasers against walkers, machine gun turrets against swarms of small bots. Resources are scattered across the map, and random meteorite impacts hand out rare materials needed for the most powerful units, so holding ground matters as much as winning fights.
