Six elements, 59 towers
Element TD 2 is a tower defense game built around combining elements. Six elements feed into 59 unique towers through multiple upgrade paths, and each element carries its own strengths and weaknesses. Picking the right upgrade path matters as much as picking the right spot on the map, so you need to read the incoming waves and their elements before committing your gold. The layout gives you 26 maps across different biomes, 55 waves that keep escalating, and 10 modifiers that change the rules when you want a different flavor of run. The campaign spans 28 missions and throws unique maps, enemies, and bosses at you as a solo gauntlet.
Play together or against each other
Co-op lets up to 8 players team up on a shared defense. The point is to split the elemental work: agree who covers which elements, coordinate upgrade paths, and plan tower placements so your lanes reinforce each other instead of overlapping. Waves grow steadily harder and end in an endless boss battle, so the group that plans ahead tends to last longer. On the competitive side, you can play an 8-player free-for-all or a 1v1 ranked match. Survival is the goal there, and you choose your tempo: turtle up and outlast everyone, or rush early to knock opponents out fast. Global servers keep cross-region multiplayer open, and leaderboards track top scores across runs.
Before you start
Expect a game that rewards reading the wave composition and adapting your element choices rather than placing the same towers every round. If you are coming in solo, the campaign is the place to learn the upgrade paths and map layouts before jumping into multiplayer. Replay support is there to study your own wins and see how other players handled a map, and unlockable cosmetics let you customize your builder along the way. Hundreds of achievements give you long-term goals once the core loop clicks.
