What's in this pack

This is the campaign add-on content for DOOM Eternal, and it needs the base game installed to run. It carries the story forward from where DOOM Eternal left off: humanity survived, but the victory left an imbalance of power in the cosmos that now threatens all of creation, and the soul of the universe hangs in the balance. You rise again to set things right.

The pack bundles both campaign expansions, The Ancient Gods - Part One and The Ancient Gods - Part Two, so you get the full arc rather than a single chapter. Alongside the campaigns you get the Rip and Tear Pack and a stack of cosmetic collections: the Cosplay Slayer Master Collection, the DOOMicorn Master Collection, the Mullet Slayer Master Collection, and Cosmetic Packs Series One through Series Seven. Those are for dressing up your Slayer, not for changing how the game plays.

How a group gets use out of it

The campaigns themselves are the single-player side of DOOM Eternal, so one person at a time pushes through the levels while the rest of the group watches, swaps tips, or waits for their turn on the couch. That works well as a shared playthrough: the levels are short enough to hand off, and there is plenty to argue about regarding routes, resource management, and which demons to优先 take down.

For playing against each other, the game carries Online PvP, so the group can split off into matches when someone wants a break from the campaign. Expect the usual tags on this one: gore, violence, fast FPS action. If anyone in your group is sensitive to that, better to know now than two hours into a session.

Before you start

Check that everyone who wants to play already owns DOOM Eternal, since this content will not launch without the base game. Once that is settled, the two campaign expansions are the main event and should be played in order, Part One then Part Two, or the story beats will not land. The cosmetic packs can be ignored entirely if nobody in your group cares about outfits, but they are there if you want to make your Slayer look ridiculous between deaths.
