Build a mythological empire
Age of Mythology: Retold is a real-time strategy game where you gather resources, construct buildings, and raise armies of humans and monsters. You pick a god from the Greek, Norse, Egyptian, or Atlantean pantheons, and their power shapes your playstyle. Your god can unleash lightning storms, earthquakes, or protective rains to turn the tide of battle. The units you command include Centaurs, Trolls, Mummies, and the one-eyed Cyclops, all drawn from world mythologies. The game includes multiple campaigns spanning 50 missions, taking you to the walls of Troy, the frozen wastes of Midgard, and the sands of Egypt.
Play with your group
You can go head-to-head with friends in competitive multiplayer or challenge the AI across randomly generated maps. The game supports online co-op and online PvP, so your group can team up or fight each other. There is also Arena of the Gods, a mode where you play as a legendary hero through 35 mythic skirmishes, and you can tackle these solo or with friends in co-op. Controller support is built in, so you can play without a mouse and keyboard.
Before you start
The base game covers the Greek, Norse, Egyptian, and Atlantean pantheons. The Immortal Pillars expansion adds Chinese mythology, and the Heavenly Spear expansion adds Japanese mythology; both are separate from the base game. The game includes a tutorial to help new players learn the ropes, and a level editor for creating your own maps. It is a singleplayer, co-op, and PvP experience with base building, resource management, and god powers at its core.
