Running a gas station on Route 66 Million

You're the newest employee at Cosmo's Quickstop, a pit stop serving the strangest creatures in the galaxy. Your uncle Cosmo is getting too old for the heavy lifting, so the station starts out tiny, run-down and unprofitable, and turning it into the best tourist trap in the galaxy is on you. Every job around the station — pumping gas, cleaning the glorp room, maintaining each amenity — is handled through a short, time-based minigame. Each one on its own is quick and simple to pick up, but customers keep arriving, so the real work is juggling them all at once while keeping everyone happy.

Playing together

The whole thing works solo, or in split-screen local co-op if you'd rather share the chaos with a friend. Steam's Remote Play Together is supported too, so a friend can join in without being on the same couch. In co-op you split the workload across the station: one of you handles the pumps while the other deals with the glorp room, and you coordinate which amenity needs attention before the queue backs up. Communication matters more than reflexes here — calling out which minigame is about to need a hand is most of the strategy.

Building up your station

Each day ends with a planning step. You learn what's happening in your quadrant of the universe, then decide how to set up the station for tomorrow — worth doing, since a reptile convention can dump a horde of customers through your doors. Amenities are swappable and upgradeable: not a fan of the gift shop, swap it for an animatronic band to entertain customers for a while. Every amenity brings its own perks and its own maintenance minigame, and as you gain experience with one, new abilities unlock that make it more profitable and more demanding at the same time. Choosing the right money-making mix is how you prove you're the best in the business, especially since you're not the only one trying to turn a profit in this quadrant.

Good to know before starting

There are 46 mix-and-match costumes to earn through challenges, so there's a steady stream of unlockables alongside the campaign. The game is 100% non-violent with a family-friendly sense of humor, which makes it easy to hand the second controller to anyone. Expect a slow start while the minigames are few and the station is small — the frantic part kicks in once more amenities are running and customers start pouring in.
