What Can't Drive This is
Can't Drive This is a party racing game where two jobs run at the same time: one player drives a monster truck and the other builds the road in front of it. The truck can't just cruise along, because going too slow makes it explode, so the driver has to keep moving while the builder lays down track ahead. That split of roles is the whole joke of the game, and it turns every round into a scramble rather than a clean race. It's competitive co-op: you're working together and racing against each other at once, which is why it fits a group that wants something loud and short rather than a serious racing sim.
Playing it together
You can play face-to-face on the couch in local multiplayer, up to four players in split-screen, which is where the chaos really shows up. If nobody's around, there's single-player and online multiplayer with two players, so you can still get a round in over the internet. The game also supports Remote Play Together, so a friend can join your session without installing anything on their own machine. Either way the setup is the same: one person holds the wheel, everyone else is responsible for the road existing by the time the truck gets there.
Customization and tracks
There are unlockable vehicle parts and a vehicle editor, so you can build a truck and show it off to the other players. The road editor works the same way for tracks: design your own course and let your friends race on it. Expect a mix of driving skill and building speed, with plenty of room for the builder to mess with the driver. It's colorful, arcade-style, and family friendly, so it works as a party game for a mixed group. Before starting, know that only one player drives a car at a time while the other builds, and that slow driving ends badly.
