A side-scrolling slapstick brawl
Slaps And Beans 2 is a scrolling fighting game with platforming, built around the 80s pixel art look of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill films. The story picks up right where the first Slaps and Beans ended: after the shipwreck in Africa, Bud and Terence save a village from criminals and set off home on a raft loaded with bananas. Expect new places, new events and new characters along the way, plus plenty of funny quotes. The combat system is a revised and improved take on the Bud and Terence style, and the environments add enemies as the difficulty climbs.
Playing with your group
You can play the campaign solo or in cooperative mode, taking control of Bud Spencer and Terence Hill. Beyond the main game there is a dedicated party play area with minigames for up to 4 players, so a group can jump in for quick rounds without going through the story. Remote Play Together is supported, which lets friends join over the internet as well.
Before you start
The game carries voiceovers in four languages, which helps sell the Bud Spencer and Terence Hill atmosphere. It is tagged as family friendly and controller friendly, and the tone stays light and comedic rather than grim. The difficulty rises as the environments throw more enemies at you, so expect the later stretches to demand more from the improved combat system.
