Bomb Bots Arena in short
Bomb Bots Arena is a multiplayer bomb brawler from Tiny Roar, currently in Early Access. You control a Bomb Bot in an isometric arena and try to be the last one standing. The game is built entirely around multiplayer, both online and on the couch, and it aims to work for competitive players and casual groups alike. As you play, you level up and unlock new parts for your bot, so your loadout grows with your progress.
Playing together
You can fight friends locally in the same room or take them on online, with crossplay so the platform does not split the group. Matches run with up to 32 players, and there is a battle royale mode for larger free-for-alls. If you want something more tailored, the custom match mode lets you set your own rules before the round starts. You can also play alone and queue against other players.
Abilities and loadout
Before heading into the arena you pick a loadout from the abilities you have unlocked. Kick sends bombs sliding across the floor so you can stop them right on top of an opponent. Shield blocks damage for a short window, but the timing has to be exact. Build drops crates that block paths and can hold loot. Jump clears bombs and obstacles, useful for escaping traps or closing in fast. Detonate triggers your bomb when you decide it hurts the most. Remote Control drives a small bomb after a rival. Punch and dash stuns enemies and moves you across the arena. Mixing these into combos is the core of finding your playstyle.
Before you start
The game is free to play and not pay to win; money only buys cosmetics that support the developers. It is tagged with Survival Horror alongside Comedy and Battle Royale, so expect a chaotic, over-the-top tone rather than anything genuinely frightening. The store text also mentions a Tilt Five version with an exclusive bot and a different viewing angle, which only applies if you have that hardware.
