What Blood and Bacon is

Blood and Bacon is a first-person shooter where heavily armed players fight their way through 100+ levels of undead livestock. You explore, shoot, and run from porcine monstrosities across multiple maps with day and night levels. You'll face 25 enemy types, plus bosses like the gargantuan Princess Blubbergut, and minibosses that show up every 10 days. The game can throw 500+ undead creatures at you at once, so fights get loud and crowded fast. Pickups come out of a meat grinder fed by the creatures you kill: ammo boxes, adrenaline, grenades, rockets, and other boosters. Expect plenty of gore and crude humor alongside the shooting.

Playing it with your group

Co-op supports up to 6 players, either your own friends or random people. There's also a Horde Mode for 6 players, where you unlock new characters as you go — 6 characters are in the game so far, along with 2 added weapons including a paintball gun with 4 colors. Alongside co-op, the Steam features list includes online PvP, so you can also play against other people rather than only alongside them. Progress is tracked with achievements and leaderboards.

Before you start

The content leans hard into horror and comedy at the same time: gore, nudity, sexual content, and meme-style humor are all tagged, so it's not one to bring to a mixed audience. There's a singleplayer option listed among the tags, but the co-op and PvP features are the focus of how groups play together. The game also has a Crosshair Workshop built in, letting you create and share mods with other players and subscribe to ones you like from inside Blood and Bacon, with developer mods planned. The end credits feature metal music by Josh of When Evil Calls.
