Build a bot that fits how you fight
Assault Bots is a third-person robot shooter where you put your own machine together before it hits the field. You pick a way to move: wheels, mech legs, helicopter blades, or wings that let you fly. Then you fill it out with weapons like machine guns, lasers, and rocket guns, plus various add-ons. Two teams are on the board: the alien Kronon and the human AI. As you play, your bot ranks up, which opens more powerful and unique add-ons, perks, and weapons to bring into the next fight. The pace is closer to an FPS or third-person shooter than a slow tank sim, so expect to be moving and shooting constantly.
Playing together with your group
Everything happens online against other players in PvP matches. Your group can pick from several modes, including capture the flag, conquest, team deathmatch, and free-for-all, so you can choose something coordinated or something where everyone is out for themselves. Multiple maps keep the arenas from feeling the same. Since you build and rank up your own bot, showing up with a loadout you've tuned is part of the competition — one friend can go heavy on rockets with wheels, another can take mech legs and lasers, and a third can fly overhead.
Before you start
There's also an offline mode where you play against bots in singleplayer, which is useful for learning movement and trying new add-ons before going into online matches. Expect a realistic, war-themed look across a 3D sci-fi setting with a cinematic feel. Given the weapon variety and the freedom to drive, walk, or fly, the first few matches are mostly about figuring out which movement type and weapons suit you, then ranking up to unlock better parts.
