Physics-based football where skill decides everything
World of Football is a multiplayer football game built on a physics model that determines where the ball goes. There is no randomness or luck involved; matches are won through your own skill at manipulating the ball and reading the environment. The controls are easy to pick up, but the game is difficult to master, so there is plenty of room to grow once the basics click. Weather is part of the simulation too, and the dynamic weather system affects how the pitch plays. Beyond standard football, you can switch to futsal or street football, and you can change the pitch itself to make matches more unpredictable.
Playing together with your group
You can bring up to ten players together on the pitch for a match. Beyond casual games with friends, the game offers online matchmaking, weekly cups, community tournaments, and regional championships. The matchmaking system is refined to pair you with opponents at your own level, whether you are a junior, professional, superstar, or legend, so you face people you can compete with on equal terms. Player and stadium customization lets your group set up the look of the match, and character customization is available for your own player.
Before you start
The game is in Early Access, so expect it to still be in development. It is tagged as difficult, so the skill ceiling is high even though the basics are simple. A training editor is included for honing your skills before entering ranked games, where you can build customized training routines. There is also a level editor and inventory management to dig into. The Steam features list Online PvP, and the tags include Singleplayer, so both online and offline play are covered.
