What WARDOGS Is
WARDOGS is a tactical all-out warfare FPS set in the derelict industrial mountains of Eastern Europe. Up to 100 players split across three teams, and the match revolves around a randomized 2x2km Control Zone inside a larger map. The team with the most players inside the zone earns points, and the first team to reach 100 points wins. Because the zone moves around and players make their own calls, two matches rarely play out the same way.
Alongside gunplay and combined arms combat, the battlefield supports building and destruction. Rocket launchers can bring down apartment blocks, tanks can tear through towns, and you can fortify positions to hold the line. The mode has clear rules, but there is no single correct way to approach it.
How a Group Plays Together
You can take the Control Zone alone or as part of a dedicated squad, and you choose how to earn and spend your money. Every player starts with $10,000 and buys a custom loadout each life, drawing from a wide selection of weapons, gear, utility, and vehicles. Cash persists from match to match, so a well-timed purchase of stronger gear or a vehicle can turn the tide.
Teamplay actions pay out in cash: reviving squadmates, transporting friendlies to the zone, or holding the objective all earn you money. That means a squad can split roles — some ferrying supplies by helicopter, some sniping from a ghillie suit at range, some building and fortifying a forward operating base, some driving an artillery tank to rain destruction on the enemy. Communication matters here, and local voice chat is built in, so you can coordinate tactics with teammates or use it to mess with enemy players.
There is a "Hot Zone" that can earn double cash for whoever holds it, giving aggressive squads a reason to contest it directly.
Before You Start
Expect a class-based, team-oriented war with modern military gear, where destruction and positioning count as much as aim. The game is in Early Access, so it is an unfinished work and will change as development continues. Everything is player-driven: no scripted match flow, no extraction loop, no battle royale circle — just three teams fighting over the zone until someone hits 100 points.
Plan your group around money management, not just kills. Revives, transport, and objective control all fund your next loadout, so the players keeping the squad alive and supplied often matter more than the ones racking up frags.
