A cozy open world RPG you explore together

Swords 'n Magic and Stuff starts with your ship being boarded by an orc warband, and you waking up in a dungeon with your childhood friend. Escape, then head out into Tirawyn, a large hand-crafted open world full of secrets, chests, NPCs with unique dialogue and hundreds of quests. Some quests are simple fetch or kill tasks, others are stranger, like luring angry bees to a bee fanatic. Hidden books and doors reveal secret quests, so paying attention to the world pays off.

Playing as a group

You can go alone or bring friends along through a simple multiplayer lobby, or host your own dedicated server. Characters are saved locally, so your progress travels with you to your friends' servers and you never start over. Loot is local to each player, which means nobody has to argue over who gets the drop. Questing, exploring and building all work the same way with a group as alone, so the whole party can wander at its own pace.

Combat, classes and crafting

Combat is action-focused: strafe, dodge, parry and attack without being rooted in place. There are 6 classes, each leveled independently by using the weapons tied to it, and you can dual wield anything you like. That opens up odd combinations, such as a splash potion-slinging rogue, a necromancer warrior or a bardic healer. Crafting has its own skills to level: blacksmithing, carpentry, tailoring, cooking, farming and alchemy, with recipes found by leveling up, visiting shops, looting chests or finishing quests. Over 1500 items are scattered through the world, and chests respawn with randomized loot each day.

Settling down

Plots of land are for sale around Tirawyn. Buy one and build a home from blueprints or from scratch, then decorate freely with a grid-free system and hundreds of furniture items. A museum, a gem-covered house or a tavern for the group are all on the table. The game is built for a casual, relaxed pace and is still in Early Access, so expect ongoing development.
