Running the Job
PAYDAY™ The Heist is a first-person shooter where you play a career criminal pulling off high-stakes heists. You pick your weapons and equipment, then move through six heists that push you to keep the plan together under pressure. The game leans on tactical play and stealth as much as raw shooting, so how you approach a job matters as much as how well you aim. There is also a large character progression tree that lets you build skills around your preferred form of violence.
Co-Op Partners in Crime
You can run any of the six heists with three other players in interactive 4-player co-op, or fill the spots with A.I. partners. Working together is the core of the experience: you trade hostages, cover each other, and decide when to go quiet or go loud. The co-op play is online, so your group can line up jobs together and split the work as the situation changes.
Before You Start
Expect a difficult game that rewards planning and teamwork over running in alone. The heists are built for replay, with the same jobs playing out differently depending on how your crew handles them. The progression tree is deep, so early runs will feel different from later ones once your skills come online. Additional DLC adds more heists, weapons, and equipment on top of the base six.
