A fast anime arena shooter
Foobar Zero is a third-person multiplayer shooter where you control an avatar inside a virtual reality simulation. The fights take place in locations rebuilt from old records, current places, and fictional spots like an alien ship. Movement is the core of the game: walljumps, dodges, and cover keep you alive, since standing still gets you killed quickly. Each map has its own jumps and tricks to learn, so time spent practicing pays off in matches.
Playing together with friends
The game offers 6v6 team-based PvP and a 12-player free-for-all, plus multiple gamemodes. You can also create your own room, pick the game mode, map, and other settings, then run several rounds with the same group or switch things up between rounds. Since it is Online PvP, your group joins matches over the internet.
Loadouts, weapons, and skills
Every loadout holds 3 weapons and 3 skill slots: one passive, one active, and one ultimate. Ultimates need to charge before use but hit hard when ready. Bubble Shield protects your party from damage, while Tornado hits everything close to its impact. Melee options include the Power Katana for faster attacks and Rocket Fists, which deal heavy damage but must be charged per strike. Try different combinations to find what fits your play style.
Look the way you want
Outfits are pure cosmetics bought in the in-game shop, and they mix freely with colors you choose, so your character can look unique without changing how the game plays. The anime aesthetic runs through the whole package, from character designs to the colorful, futuristic virtual world. Note that Foobar Zero is in Early Access, so expect things to change as development continues.
