A First-Person Kung Fu Fighter

Dragon Fist: VR Kung Fu puts you inside a martial arts movie. You fight in first person with physics-based combat, so your punches, blocks, and dodges come from your own body movements. The art style pays homage to the golden era of martial arts films, and the cast of over 40 characters draws from movie archetypes across the decades: an old wise master, a young gifted female kung fu student, a Shaolin monk, a Bruce Lee inspired character, a samurai, or a ninja. Each character has a distinct fighting style, special moves, perks, and weaknesses to learn. The story centers on a powerful Dragon Master whose arrival draws out ambitious masters, a jealous emperor, and a wronged peasant sworn to revenge, all fighting for their own goals.

Playing Together

Your group can team up or square off. Co-op mode lets you take on the campaign together, while PvP lets you fight each other in custom matches. Almost everything from single player carries over to multiplayer, including characters, levels, and abilities. There is also an interactive multiplayer lobby that holds 8 or more players and works as a social hub where you can meet up before a match. You can host public or private matches. Full Body Tracking is integrated, so you can control both legs for front kicks, knee strikes, and flying high kicks, and match your opponents who use the same setup.

Before You Start

Combat is symmetric: your opponents have the same controls as you, with no built-in advantage or disadvantage. On easier difficulty levels they have reduced strength, speed, and intelligence. Expect to read your opponent's strategy and redirect their energy rather than relying on a fixed combo. The game supports LIV for putting yourself or an LIV avatar on a greenscreen into the game, and bHaptics gear for feeling hits through a haptic vest. Fighter Forge lets you design a character, pick its special moves, weaknesses, and perks, motion capture your own attacking moves, record voice lines from your headset, and share the result with the community. Fights take place in scenes like the dark Red Flower Cult, the misty bamboo forest, a kung fu school, and an early 20th century boxing ring.
