What Battlerite is
Battlerite is a PvP arena brawler from Stunlock Studios, described as the spiritual successor to Bloodline Champions. It mixes a top-down shooter with a fast-paced fighting game, so rounds come down to reaction, aim, and positioning rather than long builds or map control. You take control of one of many Champions, each with a unique set of abilities to learn. The setting is a world where Champions dedicate their lives to the Arena.
Playing as a group
Battles are set up as 2v2 and 3v3, so you can team up directly with friends and go into quick, intense rounds together. Pick your Champion, form your team, and drop into combat. Since every match is player versus player, you are always facing other people rather than AI opponents, and the focus stays on short, sharp exchanges where coordination with your partner or team matters.
Controls and customization
Movement uses WASD while aiming is tied to your cursor, which lets you line up skill-shots and dodge incoming projectiles at the same time. You gain strength during play through rites, which upgrade your abilities and let you shape your Champion toward the play style your team needs. Between matches there is a wide range of cosmetic options, including weapons, outfits, and victory stances. Expect a demanding pace: the game is tagged as difficult and competitive, so learning your Champion's abilities and getting comfortable with the movement and aiming is worth doing before you take on tougher opponents.
