Desktop Tower Survivor is an incremental tower-defense game: each player manages an auto-firing tower through endless waves. Online, guild missions, shared research, and chat give members common goals, while weekly tournaments and leaderboards compare individual results. Guild features progress asynchronously.

The core game can be played offline; guilds, tournaments, leaderboards, and cloud saves require an internet connection.

## Guilds connect the group

Guild missions and shared research are group goals: members contribute asynchronously, and guild chat gives them a place to keep in touch. Each account keeps its own tower, wave records, artifacts, and upgrade choices.

Weekly tournaments determine league standings, including promotion and relegation; friends and global leaderboards show personal records. Tournament rewards can support artifact progression, while missions advance guild goals.

## A tower fights while you shape the run

The difficulty ladder has ten tiers, each changing enemy behavior. Higher tiers test whether your chosen upgrades and target priorities answer those threats.

Each run has its own temporary upgrade choices, while permanent improvements happen outside the run. When a run ends, the resources you earned can strengthen the tower for later attempts. That creates a long arc of pushing farther, unlocking another upgrade, and seeing what the new build can handle. The game’s opening tutorial introduces the difference between temporary run upgrades and permanent upgrades bought between attempts; a separate prompt covers modules when those unlocks arrive.

Target priority is one of your few direct interventions: you choose who the tower hunts first while it handles aiming and firing. Some waves add enemies that move faster, wear armor, carry shields, heal themselves, or resist knockback. A tower that handles one condition comfortably may need a different balance when the next difficulty tier adds another obstacle.

## Builds come from several upgrade layers

Upgrades raise familiar stats such as damage, health, and attack speed, with economy and utility choices alongside them. During a run, those purchases spend the currency gathered as enemies fall. Between runs, permanent levels add a lasting foundation. The two layers interact: temporary upgrades still matter in the moment, but each run can also feed progress that changes the next one.

Modules add a build choice before a run begins. They multiply or alter tower stats, and they are locked once a run is underway. Some rare modules come with a risk-and-reward tradeoff: more loot in exchange for more enemies. That choice makes the preparation screen more than a checklist. You can shape how the tower scales, but a bonus that increases enemy pressure may change how quickly a promising run reaches its limit.

Artifacts supply automatic abilities during combat. There are three families—offensive, defensive, and economic—with effects such as a shockwave that pushes enemies back, missiles that home in, a frost aura that slows nearby enemies, and bonuses that multiply coins from kills. They trigger on their own after you equip them, so the build decision happens before the fight rather than through an extra button to press every few seconds.

Your account can eventually equip up to nine artifacts, with three slots per family that unlock as you level up. The first artifact is free; later draws spend Essence to show three choices, and gems can reroll a draw once. Each artifact has its own upgrades. Tournaments and the guild shop are among the sources of Essence, linking the online layer to another way of developing your tower without making guild play the only progression route.

Emblems add another permanent layer, stacking bonuses that shape later runs. Research in the laboratory progresses in real time even when the game is closed, then catches up when you return. That idle element is central to the pace: not every upgrade depends on staying at the keyboard. A friend checking in after a few hours away may find research completed and a new decision waiting.

## It lives on the desktop

The desktop overlay can sit above other windows and its transparent areas pass clicks through. Animated backgrounds, tower skins, color palettes, and music let you customize the view while the tower keeps fighting.
